Purpose of Position
We are seeking general laborers to work in our Manganese Foundry.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Grind, weld, fit, and assemble steel, iron, and manganese track work related products as specified
- Operate power tools
- Read and follow production schedule
- Perform job duties associated with training matrix
- Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and move up to 20-25 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing abilities related to job assigned.
Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies)
- High School graduate or GED preferred.
- Ability to read work orders, blueprints, rulers and tape measures.
- Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
